 Conceived by Cuba's youngest Maestro Ronero (Master Rum Maker) and aged for a minimum of seven years in white oak barrels previously used for whisky, Eminente Reserva presents the aesthetics of a traditional light Cuban rum, enhanced by the complexity and depth of an extra-aged rum. Inspired by 19th-century Cuban rum, Maestro Ronero César Martí uses aged aguardientes, the island's most aromatic and complex spirits, to create a new rum that pays homage to Cuban tradition. Eminente Reserva is composed of 70% aged aguardientes, the highest proportion of any Cuban rum. The remainder of the blend is composed of light Cuban rum, whose higher alcohol content gives it its vibrancy. Eminente is one of the few Cuban rums to hold the coveted 'Denominaciónde Origen Protegida' or 'DOP Ron de Cuba' designation. This designation imposes strict rules to ensure the authenticity and high standards of Cuban rum.
